Teresa Christmas, WKU alumni, has been artist in residence at Cumberland Trace Elementary for the past ten years and won art awards several times at the U. S. Bank Festival of the Arts. She has also conducted numerous Super Saturdays art workshops for children at WKU. If you are interested in your child taking private or small group art classes in her home studio, please contact her at 270-781-0361 for more information.
Laura Bain-Selbo, a local potter, offers weekly, semi-private, 90 minute lessons in her home studio. The cost is $20 per child. Make spring break exciting for your child by enrolling him/her in art camp hosted by Lynne Ferguson, Artist in Residence at the Kentucky Library and Museum. Camp will be April 9 -13, 8 am-12 pm. Camp participants will be working in low relief sculpture with board, wood and paper. They will also be working two-dimensionally with acrylic paint and metal foil.
